Registered nurse resumes fail when they lead with compassion and bury licensure, unit acuity and ratios. A screener needs the state RN license, compact status, EMR and certifications before reading adjectives. License, state and compact status
An RN license is not decoration. A screener checks the state, compact status, active standing and whether BLS, ACLS, PALS, CCRN or TNCC match the unit.
Unit, acuity and patient ratios
Medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, ED and perioperative roles are not interchangeable. Ratios like 1:4 telemetry or 1:2 ICU tell a reviewer the load and risk level handled.
EMR and medication workflow
Epic, Cerner, barcode medication administration, Pyxis and eMAR are literal ATS terms. They also show whether documentation and medication safety work will transfer quickly.
Charge, preceptor and escalation experience
Charge shifts, rapid response calls, admissions, discharges and precepting new nurses show judgement under load. Put the count next to the responsibility.

Why each choice was made
Why the license is not buried
Nursing screens start with legal eligibility. The template puts the active RN license, state and certifications in the summary and skills so a parser and reviewer find them before the first unit bullet.
Why ratios appear beside acuity
Acuity without ratio is incomplete. A 1:4 telemetry assignment and a 1:2 ICU assignment tell different stories, so the bullets attach workload to the clinical environment.
Why Epic is not the whole bullet
EMR names belong on the page, but software alone is not the job. The bullets tie Epic, eMAR and BCMA to chart completion, medication safety and discharge flow.
