Scored by the same rules the Studio uses. How scoring works

Why it works

  • One page in all six layouts268 words, so switching designs never pushes it to a second page.
  • 4 of 10 bullets name a resultThe rest show the scale of the work, which a recruiter reads as proof too. Counted by the same Review the Studio runs.
  • Headings an ATS already knowsSummary, Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills, in that order.
  • Credentials have their own sectionRegistered Nurse (Multistate License), ACLS and BLS Provider, each with issuer and year.
  • Reads back as plain textOne column with no tables or icons. The ATS text tab shows what a parser gets.

Registered nurse resumes fail when they lead with compassion and bury licensure, unit acuity and ratios. A screener needs the state RN license, compact status, EMR and certifications before reading adjectives. The template above puts those checks in the open, and the score on this page is the actual proof-engine output, not marketing.

Why most registered nurses don't get the call

Have the real job posting? Paste it into the keyword scanner to see the skills it asks for most, and which ones your resume is missing.

Why each choice was made

  1. Why the license is not buried

Nursing screens start with legal eligibility. The summary names the active RN license and compact status, and a Certifications section lists the license, BLS and ACLS with issuer and year, so a parser and reviewer find them before the first unit bullet.

  2. Why ratios appear beside acuity

Acuity without ratio is incomplete. A 1:4 telemetry assignment and a 1:2 ICU assignment tell different stories, so the bullets attach workload to the clinical environment.

  3. Why Epic is not the whole bullet

EMR names belong on the page, but software alone is not the job. The bullets tie Epic, eMAR and BCMA to chart completion, medication safety and discharge flow.

Registered nurse resume questions

What skills should I put on a registered nurse resume?

The skills the job posting names, spelled the way it spells them. For a registered nurse that often includes RN license, compact license, telemetry, med-surg, Epic and Cerner. Show each one in a bullet with a result, then list the core ones again in a short skills section.

How do I write a registered nurse resume summary?

Keep it to two or three sentences: your years of experience and where, the scale of your work, and one result with a number. Leave out words a recruiter cannot check, like hardworking or passionate. The example summary on this page shows the pattern.
