Unit, acuity and patient ratios
Medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, ED and perioperative roles are not interchangeable. Ratios like 1:4 telemetry or 1:2 ICU tell a reviewer the load and risk level handled.
EMR and medication workflow
Epic, Cerner, barcode medication administration, Pyxis and eMAR are literal ATS terms. They also show whether documentation and medication safety work will transfer quickly.
Charge, preceptor and escalation experience
Charge shifts, rapid response calls, admissions, discharges and precepting new nurses show judgement under load. Put the count next to the responsibility.
