Why it works

- Credentials have their own sectionCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Pharmacy Technician License, Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT), each with issuer and year.

A preview only. Nothing is saved.
Pharmacy technician resumes get filtered out when they say 'filled prescriptions' and nothing else. A screener checks the certification and state license, retail or hospital setting, daily volume, compounding and how you handle claims and stock. The example above leads with those, and the score on this page is the real engine output.

Why most pharmacy technicians don't get the call
Certification and license
CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT and an active state technician license in the US; GPhC registration in the UK; an enrolled pharmaceutical technologist with the PPB in Kenya. Put the body and status where a filter will find them.
Setting and prescription volume
Retail, hospital, mail order and long-term care pharmacies use technicians differently. Scripts a day or doses delivered tells a reviewer whether you can keep up on their busiest shift.
Compounding and automation
Hospital roles screen for sterile compounding under USP 797, IV admixtures, Pyxis or Omnicell restocking and medication reconciliation. Say which you have done and how much.
Claims, stock and accuracy
Third-party claims, rejected claims, prior authorizations, inventory counts, NDC checks and controlled substance logs keep the pharmacy paid and legal. Accuracy and recovered dollars belong next to them.

Why each choice was made
Why accuracy sits beside volume
Speed without accuracy is a liability in a pharmacy. The retail bullets pair scripts a day with the near-miss rate the pharmacist tracked, so a reviewer sees both.
Why the IV room has its own role
Sterile compounding is the skill hospitals pay more for. Giving it a separate role with doses, USP 797 and Pyxis makes it impossible to miss.
Why scope stays with the technician
The template never claims final verification or patient counselling. Those belong to the pharmacist, and a hiring pharmacist notices when a technician resume blurs the line.
Pharmacy technician resume questions

How do I write a pharmacy technician resume summary?
Keep it to two or three sentences: your years of experience and where, the scale of your work, and one result with a number. Leave out words a recruiter cannot check, like hardworking or passionate. The example summary on this page shows the pattern.
