Why it works
- One page in all six layouts262 words, so switching designs never pushes it to a second page.
- 4 of 9 bullets name a resultThe rest show the scale of the work, which a recruiter reads as proof too. Counted by the same Review the Studio runs.
- Headings an ATS already knowsSummary, Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills, in that order.
- Credentials have their own sectionRegistered Pharmacist, Basic Life Support (BLS), each with issuer and year.
- Reads back as plain textOne column with no tables or icons. The ATS text tab shows what a parser gets.
Registered pharmacist (Pharmacy and Poisons Board) with seven years in hospital and community pharmacy. Runs clinical checks, antimicrobial stewardship and the controlled drugs register for a 220-bed hospital.
- Screen about 180 inpatient prescriptions a day for dose, renal adjustment and drug interactions before the ward round.
- Lead weekly antimicrobial stewardship rounds with two physicians; restricted-antibiotic use fell from 31% to 22% of prescriptions within a year.
- Keep the controlled drugs register and quarterly stock counts, with no unexplained discrepancies across four PPB inspections.
- Trained 60 ward nurses to flag suspected drug reactions, doubling yearly PPB pvERS reports from 20 to 40.
- Dispensed about 150 prescriptions a day and counselled patients on dosing, side effects and adherence.
- Started a blood-pressure and glucose check service, seeing about 60 patients a month and referring 35 to clinics.
- Cut expired stock write-offs from 4% to 1.5% of sales by moving to FEFO rotation and monthly expiry reviews.
- Rotated through inpatient, outpatient and bulk store pharmacy, dispensing to about 300 outpatients a day.
- Rebuilt the ARV dispensing log, closing gaps in 2,100 patient records ahead of a county audit.

Pharmacist resumes get skipped when they read like a list of duties: dispensed, counselled, checked stock. A screener wants the registration body and number status first, then the setting, the volume and what your clinical checks actually caught. The example above leads with those, and the score on this page is the real engine output.

Why most pharmacists don't get the call
Registration before anything else
No registration, no interview. Name the board (PPB, GPhC, a US state board, DHA, MOH or a state pharmacy council) and say it is active. A B.Pharm, MPharm or PharmD sits beside it, not instead of it.
Setting and volume
Hospital, community, retail chain and industry pharmacy are different jobs. Prescriptions a day, beds covered or wards served tell a reviewer the pace you already work at.
Clinical checks that changed something
Drug interactions, renal dosing, medication reviews and antimicrobial stewardship are where a pharmacist earns the title. Show an intervention count or a prescribing change, not the word 'clinical'.
Controlled drugs, stock and safety
Controlled drugs registers, cold chain, expiry control, inspections and adverse drug reaction reporting are legal duties. Clean inspections and lower write-offs are proof a manager can trust you with the keys.

Why each choice was made
Why the board is named in the summary
A recruiter filtering for 'registered pharmacist' or 'PPB' should find it in the first two lines and again under Certifications, with the issuing body spelled out so either search term matches.
Why interventions carry a before and after
Every pharmacist checks prescriptions. The stewardship bullet shows restricted-antibiotic use falling, and the stock bullet shows write-offs falling, so the checks read as results.
Why the internship stays
The internship year is part of registration in most countries and shows outpatient volume and ARV dispensing. It is kept short so the hospital role leads.
Pharmacist resume questions
What skills should I put on a pharmacist resume?
The skills the job posting names, spelled the way it spells them. For a pharmacist that often includes registered pharmacist, Pharmacy and Poisons Board, clinical checks, medication review, dispensing and controlled drugs register. Show each one in a bullet with a result, then list the core ones again in a short skills section.
How do I write a pharmacist resume summary?
Keep it to two or three sentences: your years of experience and where, the scale of your work, and one result with a number. Leave out words a recruiter cannot check, like hardworking or passionate. The example summary on this page shows the pattern.
