Why it works
- One page in all six layouts251 words, so switching designs never pushes it to a second page.
- 3 of 10 bullets name a resultThe rest show the scale of the work, which a recruiter reads as proof too. Counted by the same Review the Studio runs.
- Headings an ATS already knowsSummary, Experience, Education, Certifications, Skills, in that order.
- The credential has its own lineUX Certification (UXC), each with issuer and year.

UX hiring managers read a resume for one thing before they open the portfolio: does this person find the problem, or just draw the screens? The template above leads every role with research and outcomes, then names the tools, and the score on this page is the actual output of the Review.

Why most UX designers don't get the call
Process you can point to
Screeners look for the steps of the job by name: user research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and usability testing. One bullet that walks through a project, with how many people you tested with, shows the process better than a skills list that names it.
An outcome after the design shipped
Task success rate, time on task, drop-off in a funnel, support tickets, conversion. UX is judged on what happened to users after the change. If the team measured it, put the number in; if they didn't, say what you tested and what you changed because of it.
Case studies, linked from the top
Most UX roles won't move forward without a portfolio of case studies. Put the link in the header. Two or three deep case studies that show research, trade-offs and results beat ten polished screens with no story.
Working with product and engineering
UX designers sit between users, product managers and engineers. Design systems, handoff, and working inside agile sprints are what a team needs to hear, because a beautiful design that can't be built on time is a cost.

Why each choice was made
Why research comes first in each role
A UX reviewer wants evidence you design from what users do, not from taste. Opening each job with research tells them that before they reach the tools.
Why participant counts are given
"Ran usability tests" could mean three friends or forty customers. A count of interviews or test sessions is a small detail that makes the research believable.
Why visual skills are kept modest
Graphic and UI polish matter, but a UX role is screened on problem-solving. Listing UI design once, with a design system bullet to back it, keeps the resume pointed at the job without hiding the craft.
UX designer resume questions
What skills should I put on an UX designer resume?
The skills the job posting names, spelled the way it spells them. For an UX designer that often includes user research, usability testing, UX design, interaction design, Figma and FigJam. Show each one in a bullet with a result, then list the core ones again in a short skills section.
How do I write an UX designer resume summary?
Keep it to two or three sentences: your years of experience and where, the scale of your work, and one result with a number. Leave out words a recruiter cannot check, like hardworking or passionate. The example summary on this page shows the pattern.
Is this UX designer resume template free?
Yes. Open it in the Studio, replace the example with your own work and download it as a PDF in a free design (Clean, Signal, Editorial and Minimal). Word files and the other designs come with ATSPrep Pro. There is no watermark; downloading needs a free account.
Is this UX designer resume template ATS friendly?
Yes. It is one column of real text with standard section headings, and no tables, text boxes or text inside images, so parsers read it in order. Run your finished file through the free ATS resume checker to see the text it gives back.
