A preview only. Nothing is saved.

Business analyst resumes fail when they say "gathered requirements" and stop. That sentence hides the only evidence a screener cares about: who you elicited from, which artefacts you owned, and what shipped. The score on this page is real proof-engine output, not a marketing number.

Have the real job posting? Paste it into the keyword scanner to see the skills it asks for most, and which ones your resume is missing.

Why each choice was made

  1. Why the artefacts are explicit

A BA resume with no BRD, FRD, stories or acceptance criteria leaves the reviewer guessing what you actually owned. The template names each artefact because parsers and delivery managers both read those strings literally.

  2. Why stakeholder numbers show up early

Business analysis is partly force applied through other people. Workshop counts, executive audiences and squad counts prove elicitation scope better than another line saying cross-functional communication.

  3. Why SQL appears as validation, not identity

This is not a data analyst template. SQL is included because BAs often validate system behaviour, migration rules and report outputs, but the centre of the page is requirements, process and delivery control.

Business analyst resume questions

What skills should I put on a business analyst resume?

The skills the job posting names, spelled the way it spells them. For a business analyst that often includes requirements elicitation, BRD, BPMN, UML, Jira and Confluence. Show each one in a bullet with a result, then list the core ones again in a short skills section.

How do I write a business analyst resume summary?

Keep it to two or three sentences: your years of experience and where, the scale of your work, and one result with a number. Leave out words a recruiter cannot check, like hardworking or passionate. The example summary on this page shows the pattern.

Is this business analyst resume template free?
